WRI’s assessment
Vietnam’s Logistics Growth Index advanced 1.5 points to 59.1 in September 2026, securing second place among sixteen Asia-Pacific economies. The broad expansion was primarily propelled by robust domestic demand and foreign direct investment inflows lifting the Business Volume Index, while elevated ocean freight rates and record exports pushed the Transportation Index higher.
“Vietnam’s logistics sector grew faster in September, with all ten components expanding. Consumer spending and foreign investment drove business activity, and strong demand for industrial property pushed occupancy across northern hubs to high levels.”
