WRI’s assessment
The United Arab Emirates Logistics Growth Index edged up to 52.2 in September, a 0.1-point gain that kept the reading above its three-month average. Expansion was led by the Business Volume and Warehousing indices, reflecting robust non-oil activity, surging export orders, and intense occupier demand amid limited high-quality stock availability.

“The UAE’s reading edged up because demand stayed robust, with strong orders at home and abroad and warehouse rents rising sharply. Moving goods was harder: war-risk fees and rerouting kept transport in contraction despite smoother operations at adapted east coast ports.”
