WRI’s assessment
Taiwan’s Logistics Growth Index advanced 0.4 points to 56.4 in September, ranking fourth among sixteen Asia-Pacific peers. The expansion was primarily driven by the Business Volume Index, which rose to 57.4 as export orders and wholesale trade surged on robust external demand.
“Technology exports are driving Taiwan’s logistics growth: export orders reached a record in September, air cargo volumes rose sharply and semiconductor logistics kept warehousing strong. New transport and warehouse capacity struggled to keep pace.”
