WRI’s assessment
Singapore’s Logistics Growth Index advanced to 54.6 in September, rising 0.9 points from the prior month, propelled by surging external demand for electronics and robust manufacturing activity. The headline reading places the city-state fifth among sixteen regional peers.
“Trade and transport led the rise in September: AI-related trade flows accelerated, port throughput stayed high and easing congestion in the region kept cargo moving smoothly. Geopolitical restrictions on key shipping lanes limited the vessels available, though.”
