WRI’s assessment

Poland’s Logistics Growth Index advanced to 53.5 in September 2026, up 0.5 points and exceeding its three-month average, propelled by robust gateway throughput and strong warehouse absorption. The expansion was driven by the Business Volume and Transportation indices, which surged on record maritime freight flows and container movements, alongside the Warehousing index reflecting robust facility take-up.

“Cargo through Poland’s seaports set a record in September and warehouse vacancies fell, lifting the reading even though factories are still in contraction. Carriers are stretched by chronic driver shortages and sharply higher fuel prices.”
