WRI’s assessment
Ireland’s Logistics Growth Index eased to 53.8 in September 2026, slipping 0.1 points but remaining firmly in expansion territory with all ten sub-indices signaling growth. The marginal pullback was primarily driven by the transport capacity index, alongside a slight moderation in transportation, where softer freight volumes were partially offset by robust transport services activity.
“Growth in Irish logistics remains solid: factory output expanded at its fastest pace in years and retail sales rose. September’s slight dip came mainly from transport.”
