WRI’s assessment
Indonesia’s Logistics Growth Index advanced to 52.5 in September, a 0.7-point gain that places the reading above its three-month average. The expansion was primarily propelled by robust warehousing activity and sustained goods demand, reflecting strong underlying consumption and property market momentum.
“Rising exports kept warehouse use high in Indonesia and confident consumers went on buying, which together lifted the reading in September. Transport held up despite port congestion and vessel delays, but business activity is still shrinking.”
