WRI’s assessment
The United Kingdom Logistics Growth Index slipped to the no-change threshold of 50.0 in May 2026, declining 1.5 points from the prior month and falling below its three-month average. This stagnation was primarily driven by a sharp contraction in the Business Volume Index, which accounted for the bulk of the decline, alongside weaker sentiment, while the Goods for Sale Index offered support, as services and construction activity softened while geopolitical uncertainty dampened corporate optimism.
