WRI’s assessment
Mexico’s Logistics Growth Index eased to 52.1 in May 2026, down 1.1 points, though it remained firmly in expansion. The moderation was driven by business volume easing but remaining in expansion, alongside contracting business sentiment amid tariff uncertainty, partially offset by robust gains in transportation and warehousing fueled by nearshoring and surging cross-border freight.
