WRI’s assessment
Italy’s Logistics Growth Index edged up to 51.6 in May 2026, advancing 0.1 points as robust factory new orders and a decade-high surge in third-party logistics warehouse take-up propelled business volume and warehousing into stronger expansion. Despite these gains, the index remains only modestly above its three-month average, reflecting a mixed operational landscape where six of ten sub-indices expanded while four contracted.
