WRI’s assessment

France’s Logistics Growth Index fell to 45.1 in May, declining 2.7 points as severe logistical disruptions and weakening domestic demand dragged the supply chain into deeper contraction. The downturn was primarily driven by the Transportation Index, where port strikes paralyzed major seaports and services activity contracted sharply, alongside a steep drop in Business Volume as factory output slipped into contraction amid dampened investment.
