WRI’s assessment
Belgium’s Logistics Growth Index slipped to 46.5 in May 2026, down 0.8 points from the prior month and falling below its three-month average. The contraction was primarily driven by sharp declines in transportation and warehousing activity, reflecting reduced cargo throughput, operational disruptions from strikes and adverse weather, and a severe drop in logistics real estate take-up.
