WRI’s assessment

The United Kingdom Logistics Growth Index fell to 50.6 in August, remaining in expansion but marking a clear decline from the prior month. The decline was primarily driven by the Goods for Sale Index, which fell into contraction at 46.5, partly offset by the Warehousing Index, which expanded to 53.5 on pre-holiday stock positioning, and the Transportation Index, which crossed into expansion at 50.5.
