WRI’s assessment
Spain’s Logistics Growth Index fell to 51.1 in August 2026, a 1.2-point decline placing the reading below its three-month average. The moderation was primarily driven by the Transportation Index’s sharp fall into contraction and by softening consumer demand, which weighed on the Business Volume Index, alongside deteriorating Business Sentiment amid geopolitical tensions and rising energy costs.
