WRI’s assessment

Mexico’s Logistics Growth Index fell to 50.5 in August 2026, down 1.7 points but remaining in expansion territory and ranking fourth among five regional peers. The decline was primarily anchored by a sharp fall in business volume, severe transport capacity constraints and deteriorating business sentiment, as factory activity remained mired in contraction and trade agreement uncertainties weighed on investment.
