WRI’s assessment

Malaysia’s Logistics Growth Index advanced to 54.0 in August 2026, up 1.2 points from July and sitting above its three-month average. The expansion was primarily driven by the Business Sentiment, Business Volume and Transportation indices, reflecting robust industry confidence, rising wholesale trade sales, and heavier physical freight flows ahead of the pre-year-end shipping window.
