WRI’s assessment

Japan’s Logistics Growth Index advanced to 52.7 in August, a 0.3-point gain keeping expansion above its three-month average. The improvement was primarily propelled by the Business Volume Index, which advanced to 55.2 on record trade flows and robust demand for technology components, alongside a lift in the Goods for Sale Index to 55.0 as consumer demand for retail and automotive products remained healthy.
