WRI’s assessment
The Italy Logistics Growth Index rose to 50.8 in August, returning to expansion with seven sub-indices expanding, as firm export-driven freight demand and robust warehousing throughput offset a persistent road freight capacity crunch. Ranking eighth of sixteen in the region, the headline reading was anchored by the Transportation and Warehousing indices, which expanded on the back of strong trade flows and goods movement.
