WRI’s assessment

Israel’s Logistics Growth Index slipped 1.3 points to 48.7 in August, moving into contraction and falling below its three-month average of 49.8. The decline was primarily driven by business volume, which fell into contraction, and a sharp deterioration in transport capacity, which collapsed under new, heavily tolled transit regimes, alongside deepening contraction in the transportation index as security constraints severely restricted canal throughput.
