WRI’s assessment

The Hong Kong Logistics Growth Index eased slightly to 52.1 in August 2026, remaining above its three-month average. The marginal pullback was primarily driven by a softer pace of expansion in transportation, as container throughput reverted to negative growth, alongside a modest deceleration in business volume despite resilient goods exports and AI-related electronics demand.
