WRI’s assessment
Belgium’s Logistics Growth Index edged up to 47.0 in August, still reflecting a broad-based contraction across the sector. The gain was primarily driven by the Goods for Sale Index, which moved into expansion, while the Business Volume and Transportation indices fell as weaker industrial demand and operational disruptions constrained cargo flows and port throughput.
