WRI’s assessment
Argentina’s Logistics Growth Index eased to 51.5 in August 2026, slipping 0.5 points and sitting below its three-month average. The decline was primarily driven by the Business Sentiment Index, which fell sharply into contraction, while the Transportation Index rose on major freight rail infrastructure tenders and robust shale-driven freight demand, alongside the Business Volume Index, which expanded as primary sector growth offset soft domestic retail activity.
