WRI’s assessment
The UK Logistics Growth Index edged up to 49.1 in July, though it remained below its three-month average and in contraction territory. The modest recovery was primarily supported by the Business Volume Index, where factory output, retail sales, and goods exports expanded at their strongest paces in recent months, alongside the Warehousing Index, which reflected strong demand and new facility openings.
