WRI’s assessment

The United Arab Emirates Logistics Growth Index eased to 50.6 in July, slipping 2.3 points as severe maritime disruptions offset robust underlying trade fundamentals. The decline was primarily driven by sharp contractions in transportation and transport capacity, reflecting the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz and widespread vessel displacement across key regional corridors.
