WRI’s assessment
The Belgium Logistics Growth Index slipped to 46.3 in July 2026, a 0.3-point decline that kept the sector firmly in contraction. The downturn was primarily driven by the Transportation Index, which fell to 44.8 as surging fuel prices and a newly introduced carbon road toll sharply elevated freight costs.
