WRI’s assessment
Japan’s Logistics Growth Index registered 50.6 in March 2026, marking a 0.6-point month-on-month decline that places the reading at the bottom of its observed 50.6 to 51.2 range and below the 50.93 three-month average. The softening was primarily driven by contractions in the heavily weighted Business Volume and Warehousing indices, alongside a sharp pullback in Business Sentiment.
